IUP fell 75-71 at Slippery Rock last weekend, breaking its eight-game win streak. The Mountain Cats lost at Mercyhurst over the weekend, which broke their three-game win streak.

WHAT'S NEXTThe Crimson Hawks hit the road once again this weekend when they head to Clarion to face the Golden Eagles. IUP has won the last seven games in the series, dating back to the 2010-11 season, winning by an average of 11 points per game.
IUP IN THE POLLSThe Crimson Hawks are hanging on in this week's NABC coaches' top 25, coming in at No. 25 in the poll, which was released on Tuesday. The Crimson Hawks have been ranked in all eight coaches' polls this season. After re-entering the D2SIDA media poll last week, the loss to SRU pushed them back out of this week's poll.
REGIONAL RANKINGSAfter the loss at Slippery Rock, IUP dropped two spots to No. 5 in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Region rankings. This regional media poll is new FOR this year and is voted on by a group of four sports information directors in each NCAA Division II region.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART ISSince the start of the 2011-12 season, the Crimson Hawks are a combined 49-6 in games played in the KCAC. The best year came in their 2012-13 PSAC championship season with a 17-1 record, including 3-0 in postseason games. During that time, IUP has an average home attendance of 1,586.
SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUTIUP is the top overall shooting team in the PSAC, leading the league in field goal pct (48.8) and free throw pct (76.6) and is 2nd in 3-point field goal pct (40.1). Seven times the Crimson Hawks have shot over 50 pct in a game and nine times they've converted at least 77 pct from the foul line.
FIVE FOR FIGHTINGAll five of IUP's starters are shooting better than 40 pct, including Jr. F
Daddy Ugbede (San Mateo, Calif./Serra) - 70.7 pct - and Jr. G

Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) is the only starter qualified for PSAC stat rankings, currently 12th in the league with a 46.7 FG%.
FLOOR GENERALChance has guided IUP's offensive charge all season long, leading the team with 15.0 ppg and ranking 1st in the PSAC with 5.9 apg. He has 15 double-digit scoring games - including 24 against Edinboro - and has dished out 7 or more assists six times. Chance is also 3rd in the league with a 45.2 3FG% and is 12th with a 80.0 FT%.
MOVING UP THE CHARTSChance enters this week with 401 career assists, 6 shy of passing Yancey Taylor (1992-95) and moving into 4th place in IUP history. He's also within striking distance of Ashton Smith's (2008-12) all-time program record of 456.
MR. CONSISTENCYAside from Chance, Norfleet has been IUP's most consistent player in the last nine games, averaging 16.0 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 3.2 apg. He's hit double-figures in scoring eight times during that span, including a
season-high 21 points against Lock Haven, and is shooting 42.4 pct from 3-point range and 90.0 pct from the foul line.

Tevin Hanner (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) has added energy off the bench all year and has reached double-
figures in scoring twice in the last four games. He scored a season-high 15 points in 18 minutes against Cheyney and had 11 points in a career-high 27 minutes at SRU.
PLAYING DEFENSEThe Crimson Hawks boast one of the best defenses in the PSAC as they're 2nd in the conference with just 60.7 points allowed per game. IUP has limited each of its last nine opponents below its season scoring average, including Cal and ESU, which were held to 30 and 21 points, respectively, below their season averages.
BLOCK PARTYR-Jr. F
Devon Cottrell (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Gateway) was a one-man blocking crew last week, swatting away a combined 9 shots against Edinboro and Slippery Rock. His 5 against SRU tied a career-high and came in just 22 minutes. Cottrell is 2nd in the PSAC with 39 blocks and 2.2 bpg and is just 40 away from
passing Darryl Webb's (2007-11) program record of 162.
LOW TURNOVERThe Crimson Hawks have not given the ball up much this year, averaging 13.3 turnovers per game, 6th best in the PSAC. IUP has been even better in the last two games with a combined 16 against Edinboro and SRU. IUP is also 2nd in the league with a 1.21 assist-to-turnover ratio.
SCOUTING PITT-JOHNSTOWNNext to IUP, the Mountain Cats are the best shooting team in the PSAC as they head into this week leading the league in 3-point field goal pct (41.4) and ranking 2nd in field goal pct (48.5). A dangerous scoring team, UPJ averages 78.4 points, netting 80+ seven different times. The offense is balanced, with six players averaging at least 8.1 points, while three score in double figures. So. F A.J. Leahey has been on fire recently with three 20-point performances in the last four games, averaging 21.5 ppg during that span.
