AT A GLANCE
The 24th-ranked Crimson Hawks will look to head into the postseason on a three-game win streak when they celebrate Senior Night against Clarion on Wednesday. IUP has won eight straight against the Golden Eagles dating back to 2011 while Clarion is coming off of a two-point victory over Slippery Rock and has two wins in its last three games.

LAST TIME OUT
Rebounding from a halftime deficit, IUP used a 20-5 second half run in a 78-65 win over UPJ on the road last Saturday. Jr. F Daddy Ugbede (Gardena, Calif./Serra) had 20 points and 10 rebounds while Sr. G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) scored a team-high 21 points, including 14 in the second half alone.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Crimson Hawks head into the PSAC tournament when they host a first round game this Saturday at 7 p.m. IUP will face the yet-to-be determined No. 6 seed in the West a group of hopefuls that includes Edinboro, Cal and UPJ.

SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to tipoff, IUP will honor its four seniors - F Alec Boyer (Burke, Va. /Lake Broddock Secondary), G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter), G Shawn Dyer (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) and F Jeremy Jeffers (Wilson, N.C./Greenfield School). This group has combined to lead the Crimson Hawks to four consecutive postseason berths, including a PSAC championship in 2013, and a total of 95 victories.

NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS
IUP was ranked 3rd in the season's first Division II regional rankings, which were released by the NCAA last Wednesday. These rankings determine the eight teams from each region that make the field of 64. New rankings will come out each week with the bracket announcement coming on Sunday night, March 8.

IUP IN THE POLLS
The Crimson Hawks returned to the rankings this week, showing up at No. 24 in the NABC coaches' top 25 poll. IUP fell out last week for the first time since the 2012-13 preseason with its back-to-back losses to Mercyhurst and Edinboro.

PSAC POSTSEASON LOOK AHEAD
IUP is locked into the third seed in the upcoming PSAC tournament and will host the No. 6 seed (Edinboro/UPJ/Cal) on Saturday night. This will be the 27th all-time appearance for IUP in the conference tournament, including the eighth straight under HC Joe Lombardi. The Crimson Hawks are 10-4 under Lombardi in the PSAC tournament, with championships in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

HOME COOKING
Since the start of the 2011-12 season, the Crimson Hawks are a combined 52-6 in games played in the Kovalchick Complex with an average attendance of 1,623. This year IUP is 12-1 with an average point margin of +14.4 in games played in the KCAC.

ALL-TIME ASSISTS CHART
Chance enters Wednesday's game with 454 career assists, just 3 away from passing former teammate Ashton Smith (2008-12) as IUP's all-time assist leader. He's averaging 5.9 apg and has tallied 3 or more assists in all 27 games this season.

THE 1000/400 CLUB
Chance is one of four players in IUP history to score 1000 points and dish out 400 assists for his career. He enters this game 24th in program history with 1073 points and 2nd with 454 assists. He's joined in the club by Smith (1635, 456), Eddie Peterson (1621, 425) and Yancey Taylor (1257, 406).

WHO'S YOUR DADDY
Jr. F Daddy Ugbede (Gardena, Calif./Serra) recorded his first career double-double on Saturday with 20 points and 10 rebounds at UPJ. He has four 20-point games this season, including two in the last three games where he is shooting a combined 71.4 pct (20-28).

HIS NEW LEAGUE
Dyer has found success playing in the PSAC, scoring 20+ points five times in his last 14 league games. He's 13.7 ppg with shooting averages of 46.3 (FGs), 40.7 (3FGs) and 78.1 (FTs) against PSAC teams, all
improvements over his season averages.

BLOCK PARTY
After just 2 blocks over a six-game stretch, R-Jr. F Devon Cottrell (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Gateway) has 7 in the last two games, including 5 in 30 minutes against Slippery Rock. He has 5 blocks in a game twice this year - both against SRU - and is 5th in the PSAC with 48 blocks.

STREAKING
Jeffers has hit at least 1 3-pointer in 18 straight games, a streak that dates back to Dec. 16 against Mansfield. He's 2nd on the team with a 38.1 3FG% and is 3rd with 40 made 3's.

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Crimson Hawks are at their best when the defense performs well as they are 9-1 when holding opponents under 60 points and 19-3 when opponents score less than 70 points in a game.

SCOUTING CLARION
After a midseason six-game losing streak, the Golden Eagles have been on an uptick, winning four of their last eight games, including a close win over Slippery Rock at home. One of the keys to that improvement has been the play of So. G BJ Andrews, who has averaged 21.7 ppg with a 52.3 FG% over the last seven games. Andrews leads the team with 14.1 ppg on the year and is flanked by Jr. Fs Kyheim Hall (12.6 ppg) and Darius Stevens (12.5 ppg). The strength of Clarion continues to be its defensive pressure as the Golden Eagles are 2nd in the PSAC with 19.3 turnovers forced and 4th in the NCAA with 11.5 steals per game.
