THE GAME
The Crimson Hawks enter the 2016 PSAC tournament as the seventh seed and travel to Edinboro to square off against the second seed Fighting Scots. IUP enters the PSAC tournament on the heels of a 3-0 loss at Seton Hill in the regular season finale. Edinboro fell at home to Gannon, 3-0 on Saturday. The winner of the IUP/Edinboro match will play the winner of the third seed Pitt-Johnstown vs. sixth seed Seton Hill winner on Friday at either 5 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. at the highest remaining seed. The Crimson Hawks enter the PSAC tournament for the first time since 2004 after going 19-10 and 10-8 in PSAC play during the regular season. Edinboro was 23-7 overall and 15-3 in league play during the season.
STORYLINES
• IUP is in the PSAC tournament for the first time since 2004 while making the program's fourth all-time appearance in PSAC postseason play.
• IUP holds a 3-2 record all time in PSAC tournament play.
• IUP and Edinboro will meet for just the second time in the PSAC championships. The Crimson Hawks defeated the Fighting Scots 3-2 in the championship match in 2002.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
IUP and Edinboro met during the regular season with the Fighting Scots recording a 3-0 victory at home back on October 15. Junior
Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) had 12 kills and senior setter
Lindsay Moeller (Troy, Mich./Troy) had 32 assists and 10 digs. Cignetti's 12 kills came on 31 total attacks and had a .290 hitting percentage. She added 10 digs and had two block assists. Junior
Alexis Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Mayfield) added eight kills, four aces, eight digs and a solo block. Senior
Lily McWilliams (Rockville, Md./Thomas Sprigg Wootton) had seven kills on 19 attacks and sophomore
Jess Marut (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) had a team-high 14 digs.
WINNING WAYS
The Crimson Hawks enter postseason play with 19 wins. It marks the second consecutive season in which IUP has increased its win total. With a win over Edinboro, the Crimson Hawks will reach the 20-win mark for the first time since 2012 when IUP finished 20-15. Â
VALUE IN VERSATILITY
Several IUP players ranked among the PSAC individual leaders during the regular season. Cignetti currently ranks fourth in the league with 3.64 kills/set. She also recorded a PSAC single-match high 28 kills against California (Pa.) on October 22. Moeller recorded the third highest single-game assist total when she tallied 58 against Concord on September 10. Marut is fourth among conference leaders, averaging 5.41 digs/set while
Gabby Egler (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Obama Academy) ranks eighth with 0.86 blocks/set.
