THE WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks enter a decisive road weekend as they travel to face Mansfield and Pitt-Johnstown in their regular season finales on Friday and Saturday. With both doubleheaders PSAC Central contests, IUP is looking to lock up one of two final division spots for next week's conference tournament in Quakertown. First pitch times are 2:30 p.m. on Friday (at Mansfield) and 5 p.m. on Saturday (at Johnstown).

STORYLINES / WHAT TO WATCH FOR
* IUP enters the weekend in a tight race with Lock Haven and Mansfield for the final two postseason spots from the PSAC Central; Just two games separate the three teams, with Lock Haven currently in second at 11-5, IUP in third at 10-6, and Mansfield in fourth with a 9-7 divisional record
* The Crimson Hawks have a combined 3-1 record this year against Mansfield (split) and UPJ (sweep); Mansfield outscored IUP a combined 10-5 in their doubleheader split, with Amanda Parrish (Dysart, Pa./Altoona) going a combined 4-4 and Kaitlyn Beers (Reynoldsville, Pa./DuBois Area High School) going 3-7 with a double at the plate
* In the sweep of UPJ, the Crimson Hawks owned a 13-3 scoring advantage, with Kassie Kesneck (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) going 5-7 at the plate with two doubles, a triple, and four RBI, while Lauren Zola (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) struck out six and gave up just one run on four hits in a combined 7.0 innings
* IUP is looking to earn a berth in its 17th all-time PSAC tournament, and fourth straight since 2014; The Crimson Hawks have two PSAC championships, both under head coach Bill Graham in 2011 and 2012
* Senior shortstop Hannah Mercer (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) is closing in on three program records, as she is second all-time in runs scored (131, record is 133), hits (212, record is 219), doubles (44, record is 49)
* Mercer is also currently on a nine-game hit streak, hitting .516 (16-31) with a .677 slugging percentage over during that span; She's coming off of a PSAC Central Athlete of the Week honor
* Due to injuries, sophomore RHP Lauren Zola (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) has been forced into the batting order, responding well with a .300 batting average and .450 slugging percentage since April 15; Her three doubles since then are tied for the second most on the team
* Kesneck is on a team-best 10-game hit streak, although she hasn't been in the lineup in the last two doubleheaders due to a minor injury
