THE GAME AT A GLANCE
Riding a seven-game win streak, the IUP men's basketball team (18-5, 14-2 PSAC) hosts Pitt-Johnstown (11-10, 9-8 PSAC) this Wednesday night. Tipoff in the Kovalchick Complex is set for 7:30 p.m. The Crimson Hawks have lost just once in 2018 and are coming off of a 74-66 home win over Gannon last weekend. The Mountain Cats have won five of seven, including an 86-67 home win over Clarion.

TIPOFF NOTES
>> IUP is the first team from the PSAC West to clinch a conference postseason berth after its win at Slippery Rock
>> The Crimson Hawks were 81-76 winners over UPJ in Johnstown back on Jan. 3; Sr. G Anthony Glover scored a then-career-high 31 points and IUP drained a season-best 15 3-pointers
>> The Crimson Hawks haven't lost a February game since Feb. 24, 2016; That's eight-straight victories, including a 7-0 mark last year
>> IUP is 10-2 at home this season, outscoring opponents by nearly 12 points (79.8-68.2) 
>> The Mountains Cats are 5-5 away from home this year, including a 1-1 record in the KCAC; Pitt-Johnstown split with Virginia State (L 79-75) and Urbana (W 80-69) back in November

>> The Mountain Cats have won five of their last seven games (all PSAC), highlighted by a 102-85 victory over No. 20 West Chester on Jan. 24
>> Sr. F Isaac Vescovi is one of the top forwards in the PSAC, ranking sixth in the league with 21.2 PPG, third with a 58.0 FG%, and second witha 91.4 FG%
>> As a team, the Mountains Cats are second in the PSAC and 30th in Division II with a 48.9 FG%
>> UPJ is also one of the best teams in the conference from the charity stripe, converting 76.6 percent from the foul line; The Mountain Cats are shooting at an 88.6 percent clip (31-35) over the last three games

CRIMSON HAWKS ONE OF HOTTEST TEAMS IN PSAC
>> IUP's seven-game win streak is its longest of the season and the second longest current streak in the PSAC (Shippensburg - W9)
>> The 14-2 conference record is the best in the league
>> The Crimson Hawks were the first team from the West to clinch a playoff berth and hold a 2.5-game lead over Slippery Rock (12-5) in the division
>> IUP is 13-1 in its last 14 games, going 6-1 at home and 7-0 on the road while outscoring opponents 76.9-67.3
>> IUP started the year 1-3 and had four losses in its first nine games

3-POINT SHOOTING CARRYING CRIMSON HAWKS, ONE OF TOP SHOOTING TEAMS IN THE REGION
>> IUP is second in the PSAC and ranks fifth in the Atlantic Region with a 38.9 3FG% (215-552)
>> The Crimson Hawks' 215 made 3s are second overall in the PSAC; their 9.2 3s made per game are also second

GLOVER AMONG THE TOP SCORERS IN THE PSAC
>> Sr. G Anthony Glover, Jr. (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) is having quite a season, leading the Crimson Hawks and ranking 9th in the PSAC with an average of 19.5 PPG
>> He knocked down the game-winning 25-footer in last Wednesday's 67-65 win at Slippery Rock
>> Glover is one of the best pure shooters in the PSAC, ranking 3rd with a 45.6 3FG%, 4th with 3.1 made 3FGs per game, 4th with an 88.9 FT% (72-81), and 16th with a 47.8 FG% (152-318)
>> He's scored 20 points 12 times this year, with three 30-point performances
>> Glover scored a career-high 34 points (8-15 FGs, 6-8 3FGs, 12-12 FTs) in an 89-85 win over Slippery Rock (Jan. 8)
>> Glover went over 1,000 points in his 3-year IUP career and has totaled 1,390 points collegiately, including 1,172 with the Crimson Hawks and 218 as a freshman at Chicago State (2014-15)

DIAZ IS NOW A 1,000-POINT SCORER, NAMED PSAC WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK MONDAY
>> Jr. F Jacobo Diaz (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain/CBA Gran Canaria) joined Glover in the 1,000-point club last Wednesday, reaching the milestone during his 29-point performance at Slippery Rock
>> He was named the PSAC West co-Athlete of the Week Monday, averaging 26.5 PPG and 11.0 RPG last week
>> Diaz is 2nd on the team with 14.7 PPG and 4th in the PSAC with 9.7 RPG
>> He has 10 double-doubles in 22 games this year, bringing his career total to 26 (14 last year, two as a frosh)
>> Diaz was one of 100 players named to the Bevo Francis Award Watch List, which goes to the top small college player in the nation; It's the second straight year he was named to the watch list
>> Diaz averaged a double-double with 14.4 PPG and 10.0 RPG in 2016-17; He was the first IUP player since Darryl Webb (Elkridge, Md./Long Reach) in 2010-11 (17.4 PPG, 10.1 RPG) to average a double-double for an entire season

LOMBARDI ON A HOT STREAK, AVERAGING NEARLY 15 POINTS OVER THE LAST EIGHT
>> Lombardi is averaging 14.4 PPG over the last seven contests, including 23 points against Seton Hill and 20 points at Mercyhurst
>> He was named the PSAC West co-Athlete of the Week last Monday, averaging 21.5 PPG and 6.5 APG
>> Lombardi is 3rd in the PSAC with 5.0 assists per game, dishing out a season-high 10 against Gannon
>> He's looking to become the 33rd player in IUP history to the 1,000-point milestone with 950 points in three seasons
