GRAND LAKE, Colo. — The IUP women's lacrosse team is ranked for the 30th consecutive week in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Coaches' Poll, released Monday afternoon.
The Crimson Hawks come in at No. 23 on the IWCLA top 25 poll.
Despite two disheartening losses to Lock Haven (Tuesday) and Bloomsburg (Saturday). Junior midfielder
Katie Martyn (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had a record-breaking day against Bloomsburg. Martyn picked up eight draw controls, increasing her season total to 94 to break the program record. The previous record was held by Stephanie Bianco, who had 92 during the 2012 season.
The top five remain the same for the third consecutive week, consisting of Adelphi (14-1) at No. 1, Lindenwood (15-0) at No. 2, Le Moyne (15-0) at No. 3, Florida Southern (17-1) at No. 4 and Florida Tech (15-1) at No. 5.
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schools joining IUP in the top 25 include West Chester (15-0) at No. 8, East Stroudsburg (11-2) at No. 18, Mercyhurst (9-5) at No. 21 and Lock Haven (10-5) at No. 22.
