CHAMPIONSHIPS AT A GLANCE
IUP softball (19-15 (11-9 PSAC Central) heads to Veterans Park in Quakertown for the 2018 PSAC Championships. The Crimson Hawks earned the No. 3 seed in the Central Division and will square off against West No. 3 seed California (18-16, 12-8 PSAC West) in the first game of the tournament Wednesday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. The PSAC Championships is a double-elimination tournament with nine teams from three divisions that runs May 2-5 in Quakertown.

>> This is IUP's 18th all-time PSAC tournament appearance, and its fifth in a row dating back to the 2014 season; The Crimson Hawks have advanced to the conference playoffs eight times in the last nine years
>> The Crimson Hawks won back-to-back PSAC titles in 2011 and 2012; They advanced to within one game of another championship day appearance in 2014

Bill Graham is 17-9 all-time in PSAC tournament games dating back to 2010
>> The Crimson Hawks have played California (Pa.) in the PSAC Championships each of their last five appearances (2012, 2014-17), going 1-4 against the Vulcans in those games

Kassie Kesneck (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) and
Megan Little (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) each hit .400 during the week
>> Beers is one of the top hitters in the conference, entering the tournament with a .385 batting average, 31 runs scored, 45 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs, 31 RBI, and a .607 slugging percentage - all team bests

Renee Wall (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) at .370, Montgomery at .343, Kesneck at .330, and
Amanda Parrish (Dysart, Pa./Altoona) at .309
>> The Crimson Hawks take two starting pitchers into this week, with
Lauren Zola (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) leading the team with a 3.10 ERA, 10-9 record, 12 complete games in 17 starts, and 101 strikeouts in 117.1 innings;
Megan Risinger (Creekside, Pa./Marion Center) is 8-6 with a 3.48 ERA and seven complete games in 16 starts
>> The Vulcans clinched a spot in the tournament Monday with a doubleheader sweep at Edinboro (3-2, 3-2)
