Crimson Hawks head into week with games against Mansfield, Bloomsburg
The IUP field hockey team (5-5, 1-2 PSAC) starts the back half of its schedule with games against Mansfield and Bloomsburg this week. The Crimson Hawks are 1-2 in the conference with seven PSAC games left to play after splitting games against Slippery Rock (W, 3-0) and #1 Millersville (L, 1-0) last week. Mansfield split its conference-opening week with a win over Mercyhurst and loss to #6 Shippensburg while the Huskies are coming off a win over Queens and loss to Limestone in Charlotte last weekend. 
 
QUICK HITS
>> The Crimson Hawks broke out for three goals in their win at Slippery Rock last Wednesday, with 
Brianna Lubarsky netting a pair. It was the most goals for IUP since scoring five in the season-opener.
>> Lubarsky leads the team with five goals and 11 points this year and is tied for 3rd in the conference with three game-winning goals. 
>> It was also the fourth shutout of the year for goalie 
Lexi Ciano and the IUP defense. Ciano is 7th in the PSAC with a 1.413 goals against average. 
>> This will be the second time playing against both Mansfield and Bloomsburg this year after facing both teams during the "non-conference" portion of the schedule. 
>> The Crimson Hawks shut out both teams the first time around, defeating Mansfield 1-0 on the road and Bloomsburg 2-0 at home.
