NOTES
>> Sophomore Renee Wall hit a homerun and drove in four runs while freshman Jenna Rhue had two hits and three RBI in the Crimson Hawks' season-opening win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Seven different players combined for 12 base hits in the win.
>>  Sophomore pitcher Brooklyn Kotula tossed complete game, two-hitter and struck out seven batters in the win. She was named PSAC Central Pitcher of the Week. She only gave up one run and it was unearned after a throwing error. Kotula also helped herself at the plate with a 2-run double.
>> The win against Wesleyan was the first for new head coach Shawna Bellaud. She spent the last four seasons as assistant coach at IUP before being promoted in August.
>> IUP also lost to host Glenville State 3-2 during its opening weekend. Senior Lauren Goetz drove in both of the Crimson Hawks' runs with a homer and freshman Cassidy Graham gave up one hit and no runs in 4.1 innings of relief in the circle.
>> The IUP offense features junior Kaitlyn Beers, who was named to the 2019 NFCA Division II Player of the Year Watch List. She was named the PSAC Central Athlete of the Year and earned All-Atlantic Region honors last season.
>> Senior pitcher Lauren Zola will see her first action of the season in Florida after missing the trip to West Virginia. She's appeared in 77 games with 62 starts in the circle in her career.
