NORTH EAST, Pa. – Jack Buccigross shot a 3-over par 75 to lead all IUP golfers after the first round of the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational at Lake View Country Club.
Isaiah Swan and
Shaun Fedor each turned in scores of 6-over 78 while
Richie Kline shot an 8-over 80 and
Nicholas Ward had a 10-over 82.
As a team, the Crimson Hawks sit in eighth place out of 12 teams after a 23-over 311. Charleston and Goldey-Beacom each shot 4-over 292, while Gannon had a 7-over 295 and host Mercyhurst is fourth at 10-over 298. West Chester (301), West Liberty (302) and Pitt-Johnstown (305) are also head of IUP after the first 18 holes.
The second and final round wraps up Saturday.
