Hendricks earns PSAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – IUP men's swimming junior Blake Hendricks was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Co-Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
 
The league announced co-athletes of the week on both the men's and women's side. Hendricks, along with Bloomsburg's Andy Thomas were recognized among the weekly honorees. Sterre van de Gor from Gannon and Bloomsburg's Rylee Wenzel earned co-athlete of the week honors in women's swimming.
 
Hendricks joins Athanasios Diamantidis as PSAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for the Crimson Hawks this season.
 
Hendricks posted three wins on the day in a tri-meet sweep of Washington & Jefferson and Chatam on Saturday. He placed first in 500 free (4:58.91), and was also part of two winning relays, coming in the 200-medley relay (total time 1:35.53; split time of 25.19) and 200 free relay (total time of 1:27.30; split time of 21.89).
