Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Nearly half of IUP's hits went for extra bases on Tuesday, but the Crimson Hawks dropped a pair of softball games in Florida. IUP lost to Le Moyne 3-1 and to Saint Michael's 13-5 in six innings.

Joelle Snyder went a combined 3-for-6 with two doubles, Jordan Sylvia had a double, while Jenna Rhue and Anastasia Pappas each hit a home run. 

With the losses the Hawks fell to 5-7 overall.

In the loss to Saint Michael's, the Hawks went up 2-0 in the first with the help of an RBI single by Sylvia. The Purple Knights put four on the board in the second before Pappas blasted her homer in the bottom half to make it 4-3. Saint Michael's responded with five runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth to take a commanding 13-3 lead. IUP tacked on a pair of runs with RBI singles from Renee Wall and Pappas in the sixth.

In the low-scoring Le Moyne matchup, IUP hurler Bella Bucy scattered seven hits and struck out five batters over 6.0 innings of work. The Dolphins got on the board first with a solo shot in the first inning and picked up one more on a wild pitch in the fifth. After stranding two runners in the third and one in the sixth, Rhue led off the seventh inning with her sixth home run of the season. Alyssa Schmidt followed with a single, but three straight strikeouts ended IUP's threat.
