INDIANAPOLIS – The IUP men's golf program has officially been selected to compete in the 2022 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships, which take place May 5-7 at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, New York.
This marks the program's 25th straight NCAA regional appearance, a run that started in 1997 and is the longest streak by an school in the region. The 2020 regional championships did not take place and were canceled due to the pandemic.
The Crimson Hawks earned an automatic bid by winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship last fall in Hershey, and are the No. 6 seed in the Atlantic Region. This year the NCAA selected 10 teams in each of its eight regions to compete, with a total of four combined regional tournaments being played. The Atlantic and East Regions are paired together. Four individuals from non-qualifying teams in each region were also selected.

NCAA Division II Championships
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 16-20 at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Michigan. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by Wayne State (Michigan) and the Detroit Sports Commission.

The Crimson Hawks are looking for their sixth regional title and first since winning back-to-back in 2013 and 2014. The team has advanced to the NCAA Championships 32 times, the third most in Division II history.
IUP made eight straight NCAA Championship appearances from 2008-15.
