ATHENS, W. Va. - Senior middle hitter, from Nazareth Pa.,
Caroline Walsh of the IUP women's volleyball team was named to the Concord All-Tournament Team on Saturday evening after the Crimson Hawks took on four matches over the weekend.
Walsh put up impressive numbers over the course of the tournament. As an offensive threat, Walsh consistently hit the ball with a PCT of .429, and threw down 36 kills on the opponents defense.
In the fight against the Bluefield State Big Blue, Walsh remained consistent on the offensive level, going 8-10 on kills for attempts, hitting .800 PCT. Matching up against West Georgia, Walsh had 15 kills with a hitting PCT of .464. Finishing the match against Concord, she was able to bring in 12 kills with a hitting PCT of .450.
Junior middle blocker,
Lauren Valentic was also nominated for the All Tournament Team. Valentic played consistent defense over the weekend, protecting with seven blocks, while also creating havoc on offense with 31 kills.
