CLARION, Pa. -- A quartet of IUP divers competed over the weekend at Clarion, facing off against established programs and competitors on Friday and Saturday.
Freshman
Jeremiah Laslavic logged fifth-place finishes in the men's 1M each day of action, posting a score of 370.75 on Friday and 383.40 in the same event on Saturday.
"Our student-athletes excelled this weekend against some quality programs and divers," IUP head coach
Chris Villa said.
Laslavic also recorded sixth in the men's 3M (216.55) with sophomore
Nicholas Roddy finishing seventh with a 202.40.
On the women's side, freshman
Emma Bachert logged seventh at Friday's Don Leas Invitational in the women's 1M behind a score of 295.15. Senior
Jordyn Burkey followed in eighth in the 1M with a final tally of 282.55.
In the women's 3M, Burkey (192.35) and Bachert (191.10) finished ninth and 10th, respectively.
Bachert closed the weekend on Saturday with a 10th-place score of 199.05 in the women's 1M with Burkey scoring 14th with a 144.85.
