LEBANON, Pa. – The IUP men's golf program placed four individuals among the top 10 overall, finishing second in the team standings at the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, following the final round of action Sunday at Iron Valley Golf Club.
 
Millersville captured the team title with a three-round score of 903, shooting the best two rounds of any team in the field over the final two days of competition. IUP entered Sunday's final round one shot off the lead, finishing second overall behind a three-day tally of 917.
 
Primarily a two-team race after Saturday's, the Marauders carded an impressive tally of 296 on Sunday. Millersville boasted the individual medalist and runner-up with Timothy Peters (219) and Bobby Lugiano (221) leading the way.
 
Gannon claimed third in the team standings (928), followed by California (Pa.) (938) and Mercyhurst (941) in the top five. IUP had won four consecutive conference titles entering the 2023 championships, claiming 12 of the last 17 conference crowns.
 
IUP has finished third or higher as a team in the PSAC Championships in 17 of the last 18 tournaments.
 
Individually, Shaun Fedor paced the IUP lineup in fourth overall (224), marking a top-10 individual finish in all five of his conference championship appearances. Fedor logged a three-over 75 on Sunday, the best tally among the IUP lineup.
 
Guillermo Salazar registered yet another eagle this fall on Sunday, finishing the tournament in a tie for sixth after jumping three spots on the leaderboard. Salazar carded a final-round mark of 76, posting an eagle on the par-five third hole. Salazar finished with a final score of 230.
 
Salazar led the field in overall scoring on par fives with an average of 4.33 across the tournament (-8), tied with Peters from Millersville.
 
Alex Swinnerton and Aidan LeBlanc finished in a tie for 10th behind final scores of 233. Swinnerton notched a 78 on Sunday, while LeBlanc posted an 80. LeBlanc also eagled on the third hole for the Crimson Hawks.
 
John Olsen rounded out the IUP lineup with a tally of 245, including an 85 on Sunday.
