CLEVELAND – Capping off its most consistent weekend of the season, the IUP swimming & diving teams set two more school records, wrapping up competition at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup.
Facing a talented field littered with DI competition, the IUP men finished sixth of six teams with 476.5 points. Meanwhile, the Crimson Hawk women were 10th of 12 teams with a final tally of 72.5 points.
Kasha Stokes set her second school record of the weekend, this one coming in the prelims of the 200 back, posting fourth overall in 2:01.08, an NCAA B standard. Stokes previously set a school record in the 100 back (55.82) on Friday. Stokes concluded the finals portion of the 200 back in fifth overall with a 2:01.16, finishing behind four NCAA DI competitors.
On the men's side,
Athanasios Diamantidis posted his second school record in as many days with a second-place finish in the 200 breast (1:57.37), also an NCAA B standard. Diamantids swam to a school record mark of 54.25 in the 100 breast on Friday.
Alexander Roth (1:51.47) and
Tyler Uhlig (1:51.7) notched top-10 finishes in the 200 back prelims, touching the wall in fifth and seventh place, respectively.
Erin Moyer recorded 22nd in the prelims portion of the 200 breast with a time of 2:24.87.
Roth improved his finish in the finals of the 200 back in third overall (1:50.35), improving his time by over one second between sessions.
Luke Ramalho qualified for the A-Final of the 200 fly, logging 10th overall in 1:57.88.
Katie Crosscut logged fifth in the C-Final of the 50 fly with a mark of 26.72.
