INDIANA, Pa. – IUP track & field had six student-athletes to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, released by the organization on Wednesday.
Hannah Miller (health & physical education),
Hailey Dodson (social studies education),
Mitch Chunta (psychology),
Justin Egizio (art education),
Dan Gibney (safety, health and environmental science),
Jayden Thomas (marketing) and
Trenton Jubin (kinesiology health & sport science) were among the IUP honorees. To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Track & Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country and track honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 28 for women's teams and June 29 for men's teams.
