SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The IUP track and field program had a strong showing on day two of the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships on Friday. Marco Cardone placed second in the men's 3000m steeplechase, and multiple runners qualified for finals on Saturday.
Elijah Lingenfelter finished the decathlon on day two and placed ninth with 5743 points. Renee Simmonds earned a spot on the podium in the women's heptathlon with a seventh place finish with 4277 points.
Matthew Cusatis placed eighth in the long jump (7.06m) while in the women's long jump, Nataiah Robertson placed fifth with a jump of 5.73m. Seasia Lovell placed ninth in the women's high jump (1.61m).
The women's 4x400m relay placed sixth with a 48.77 time to qualify for finals. In the women's 100m hurdles, Bryna Kelly placed second (14.51) and qualified for the finals. Cahsia Page placed sixth in the women's 100m (11.99) and eighth in the women's 200m (25.22), both qualifying times for finals. Bella Brozeski qualified for the women's 400m hurdles with a fourth place finish with a time of 1:04.14.
Marco Cardone earned All-PSAC honors with his second place finish in the men's 3000m steeplechase with a PR time of 9:20.95. Nate Kunts placed fifth with a 9:39.43 time.
