DANIELS, W.Va. – IUP men's golf sophomore
Alex Swinnerton is atop the individual leaderboard following 36 holes and the opening day of the Glade Springs Kickoff, hosted by Charleston (W.Va.).
Swinnerton shot identical rounds of four-under 68 for a two-round score of 136 overall. As a team, IUP carded scores of 290 and 291 for a 36-hole total of 581.
IUP slotted four shots ahead of Glenville State (585) and six shots clear of host Charleston (586) heading into the final day. Complete individual/team placing and scoring details were not available at the time of release due to a nationwide crash in the tournament scoring system.
Senior
Shaun Fedor finished the second round strong with a four-under 68, combined with his first-round tally of 75 (+3) for a total of 143.
Freshman
Aidan LeBlanc carded totals of 74 and 75 for a combined mark of 149. Sophomore
Guillermo Salazar logged 75 and 80 over the opening 36 holes for a combined score of 155.
Freshman
Jon Vinge closed out the IUP lineup with scores of 73 and 83. Individually, sophomores
Cameron Gerue and
John Olsen notched combined scores of 157 and 161, respectively.
IUP closes out play at the Glade Springs Kickoff on Tuesday, September 6.
