INDIANA, Pa. – Returning to the site where the teams were just two weeks ago, the IUP men's and women's cross country teams race in the 2024 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships, hosted by Lock Haven on Saturday, November 9.
The men open the regional championships with the 10K race at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women's 6K at 11:45 a.m. Lock Haven will be providing live coverage on the PSAC Digital Network site.
IUP men's cross country team finished third at the PSAC Championships and the women's team finished 13th overall, which took place on Saturday, October 26.

IUP NOTES
- The IUP men finished fifth at last year's NCAA Regionals and the women were 22nd.
- Dan Gibney placed second overall and first for the Hawks at the conference championships and Julia O'Brien finished first for the Hawks and 37th overall.
- For the men, three finished in the top 30 at last year's regionals, being Joel Beckwith, Dan Gibney, and Mike Formica.
- IUP women's cross country returns six out of the seven in the line up as last years, with the alternate being Gwyn Keith.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING INFORMATION
Team:
The top three teams from each regional meet will automatically advance to the championship finals
(24 teams).
Individual:
1. The top two individuals who are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance
to the championship (16 individuals).
2. All individuals who finish in the top five at the regional meet and are not part of a qualifying
team automatically will advance to the championship.
