Women's Soccer Samantha Traini, Interim Director of Strategic Communications and Ideation

Scardina named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Graduate forward Hannah Scardina was named a Scholar All-American onto the Second Team by the United Soccer Coaches, released Thursday. 
 
Scardina earned a cumulative 3.42 GPA and majored in natural science/pre-physical therapy. She added to her All-PSAC First Team selection, PSAC West Athlete of the Year, D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team, and United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic First Team laurels.
 
She ranked fifth in the PSAC with 11 goals and led the conference with five game-winning goals. During her career at IUP, Scardina tallied 38 goals and 14 assists to accumulate 90 points. She started all but one game this season, earning 69 starts in 70 collegiate appearances. She registered 207 shots and recorded 14 game-winning goals throughout her career.
 
To be named onto this team, the student-athletes must be a junior or above in academic standings and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better throughout their career. The First and Second Team are composed of 22 total athletes.
