INDIANAPOLIS – The IUP women's soccer team is coming off a disappointing loss to Kutztown in the PSAC quarterfinals on Tuesday, but the Crimson Hawks aren't done yet. IUP comes in at No. 7 in the latest NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Rankings, released Wednesday by the NCAA.
West Chester sits at the top of the rankings. IUP is the third-ranked team from the PSAC West and the sixth-ranked PSAC team overall. Gannon and Slippery Rock are ranked ahead of the Hawks, while Kutztown, IUP's most recent opponent, is ranked No. 4.
Overall, IUP holds a 1-3-1 record against top-10 teams in the region and also has a draw against Findlay, the No. 9 team in the Midwest Region.
