OAKTIE, S.C. – The IUP men's golf team slotted seventh overall following the third and final round on Tuesday at South Carolina Beaufort's Oldfield Classic, held at the Oldfield Golf Club.
The Crimson Hawks paced the field in pat three scoring as a team (3.18; +11). IUP slipped two spots to seventh overall after some strong rounds from the rest of the field on Tuesday.
Host USCB won the event by 10 shots with a combined team mark of 868.
Shaun Fedor jumped one spot on Tuesday to tied for 11th overall after an even-par 72. Fedor was one of two players in the field to score under par on par three holes, going -3 for the tournament.
Fedor records his sixth top-15 finish of the 2023-24 season, beginning his round with a birdie on hole four. Fedor went a combined one under on the final 10 holes, stringing five consecutive par puts together for another consistent outing.
Guillermo Salazar added his fifth top-15 finish of the season with a final round mark of 75 (+3), tied for 14th overall. Hitting the 10th hole at four over, Salazar rattled off consecutive birdies at holes 11 and 12.
Alex Swinnerton was tied for 29th overall with a third round 78.
Aidan LeBlanc closed out the IUP scoring lineup in 37th place, carding a 78 of his own on Tuesday. Starting on hole four, LeBlanc battled past a shaky start that saw him at seven-over going to the 10th hole.
Cameron Gerue logged a tie for 62nd as an individual for the Crimson Hawks, while
Jon Vinge carded his best round of the tournament on Tuesday.
John Olsen closed out the IUP lineup in 75th.
