INDIANA, Pa. -- The IUP department of athletics had six student-athletes recognized as 2024 College Sports Communicatiors (CSC) Division II Academic All-District ® At-Large honorees, announced Tuesday.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. A pair of IUP field hockey student-athletes and four IUP women's lacrosse standouts make up the 2024 group of honorees.
Representing the Crimson Hawks are
Anita Planella (health & physical education),
Devon Johnson (health & physical education),
Kathryn Burke (geography),
Kim Carpentiere (kinesiology health & sport science),
Maggie Marsteller (business administration) and
Rylee Wilson (mathematics).
The Women's At-Large program has multiple sports eligible for nomination, including beach volleyball, bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing and water polo.
