PREVIEW: IUP women's tennis aims for fifth straight PSAC Championship title

INDIANA, Pa. – The top-seeded IUP women's tennis program (14-6, 6-0 PSAC) return to Bloomsburg University, looking for a fifth consecutive conference championship on May 2. 
 
IUP earned a bye to the semifinals after winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West regular season crown. It was the fifth consecutive regular season divisional title for IUP.

The Hawks will face East Stroudsburg in the PSAC Semifinals on Friday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. 

East Stroudsburg, the number two seed in the PSAC East, defeated Millersville earlier this week to secure its spot in the PSAC Final Four. The winner of the IUP/East Stroudsburg match plays the winner of the Bloomsburg/Slippery Rock later that day at 4:00 p.m.

IUP NOTES 
>> IUP is making the program's 19th all-time PSAC tournament appearance, including its 14th straight dating back to 2011. 
>> The Hawks are seeking their fifth straight and seventh conference title since 2017. IUP made nine straight appearances in the championship match, finishing as runners-up each year from 2011-16 before winning conference titles in 2017, 2018 and 2022. 
>> IUP finished the season strong, going undefeated in conference matches while securing the program's fifth consecutive PSAC West regular season crown. 
>> IUP has held steady at number two in the 2025 NCAA DII Atlantic Region rankings, including in the latest listing earlier today. 
>> IUP is looking to become just the third team in PSAC women's tennis history to win five straight PSAC titles. 
>> Ming Deewajee and Dani Ramos finish out the regular season ranked 22nd nationally as IUP's top doubles pairing. The duo has combined to go 20-9 overall with eight consecutive victories to round out the regular season. 
>> Annemiek Sterk and Lieselotte Hartlohner have occupied the No. 2 doubles spot for a majority of the season, posting a 15-6 record.  
>> The No. 3 doubles spot has seen some rotation this season, but Hannah Beitat and Asel Calbay have primarily filled the role.
>> Hartlohner has been in the No. 1 singles slot this season and posts a 14-11 record. She ended the regular season on a five-match winning streak. 
>> In No. 2 singles was Mingwajee who posts a 16-7 record.  
>> Dani Ramos was primarily in the No. 3 singles slot and posts a 16-10 overall record, with wins in the last eight matches.
>> No. 4 singles was occupied by Hannah Beitat for a majority of the season with her posting a 14-6 overall record with wins in 10 of the last 11 matches.
>> Asel Calbay saw action in both the No. 4 and No. 5 singles slots. She posts an overall 11-6 record and has wins in her last eight matches. 
>> Annemiek Sterk posts a 9-6 record at No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Sterk began the season 1-5 but bounced back with an 8-1 record. 
>> Rounding out singles action is Isabelle Oikawa Torres who occupied No. 6 singles. She has played in 11 matches with losses in the first six and finished the season on a five match win streak.

>> East Stroudsburg advances to the PSAC Semifinals for the first time since 1980 with their win over Millersville.
>> Slippery Rock is ranked third in the last NCAA Atlantic Region ranking and Bloomsburg slotted seventh.
