IUP Women's Tennis Receives Three ITA Regional Awards

INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's tennis season that ended in a PSAC Title 5-Peat and a bid to host the regional tournament continues to get recognition from the region's ITA officials. Today, senior Ming Deewajee was awarded the ITA Senior Player of the Year, and head Coach Andrew McGlashen was named Coach of the Year for the Atlantic Region. With the two individual awards, the Crimson Hawks were also awarded the Community Service Award Winners.
 
Deewajee won 19 singles matches and 24 doubles matches this season. In her Crimson Hawk career, she has an 85-40 record. McGlashen, who was also awarded PSAC West Coach of the Year, has a 33-16 record in two years at the helm of IUP Tennis.
 
The team is one of seven teams in Division II to receive the Community Service Award.
