LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Monday marks the first day of Fall practice for the Crimson Hawk Field Hockey team. The Hawks will be taking the field at Miller Stadium ranked as the seventh-ranked team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Preseason Poll as released on Monday.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) returns the team's leading scorer from last season in senior Attack
Jess Davidson. Starting in all 16 games last season, Davidson scored nine of IUP's 28 goals on a team-high 36 shots on goal. She also tallied five assists and accumulated 23 points in 2024.
Head Coach Kelly Terwilliger brings in an extensive roster for her fourth season at the helm of the Crimson Hawks. IUP has 28 players on the roster, including nine freshmen who are taking their talents to the collegiate level for the first time.
The Golden Bears of Kutztown received the most first-place votes, as they come in at the top of the preseason poll with seven of the ten. East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg also received first-place votes.
