INDIANA, Pa -- The IUP women's basketball team enters 2026 ranked No. 9 nationally with an undefeated 10-0 record. Five of the Crimson Hawks' victories have come at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. IUP will open the 2026 calendar year by hosting two PSAC games, beginning with West Chester. The Golden Rams enter the matchup with a 6-3 record and sit atop the PSAC East standings.
Millersville will also visit Indiana, arriving after a road game Friday at winless Pitt-Johnstown. The Marauders currently sit sixth in the PSAC East.

Nyshae' Weaver currently leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 PPG, while also bringing down 9.3 rebounds per game. Weaver was one of two players in the PSAC to average a double-double last season.
>> Weaver has recorded three double-doubles this season. Two are against top-20-ranked teams, and the other is the Hawks' PSAC opener at Kutztown. Weaver is one to show up for the big games, as she has been a force and a spark plug all over the court for IUP. Shae also ranks in the top five in Division II in FG%, shooting .704 from the field through ten games.

Teresa Maggio is a sharpshooter from behind he arc, hitting 16 three-pointers through six games. She is shooting over 47 percent from three-point land and averaging 2.6 three-pointers per game, with a season high of 5 makes in the Hawks' PSAC opener against Kutztown. Maggio also had a career-high seven steals in that game.
>>IUP has started 6-0 for the second consecutive season, as the Crimson Hawks started 9-0 in 2024-25 before falling to Ashland in the team's tenth game of the season. IUP has beaten two ranked teams, Ashland and Fairmont State, this season. In those games, IUP has come out on top by an average of 30 points.
>> The Crimson Hawks rank in the top five in Division II in scoring defense, scoring margin, goal percentage and rebound margin, while also ranking in the top 10 in opponent field goal percentage.
WEST CHESTER AT A GLANCE
The Golden Rams enter 2026 with a 6-3 record and sit atop the PSAC East under head coach Kiera Wooden, who is in her 11th season at West Chester. West Chester is 2-1 in PSAC play, with wins over Pitt-Johnstown and Clarion, teams that are a combined 1-7 in conference play. The Golden Rams' lone PSAC loss came at home against No. 5 Gannon,
which is riding an 11-game winning streak — the only longer streak in the PSAC than IUP's.
Wooden has recorded 181 wins at West Chester, ranking second in program history behind Deirdre Kane, who spent 27 seasons as the Golden Rams' head coach.
SERIES HISTORY
IUP controls the all-time series against West Chester, winning 18 of the 28 meetings with the Golden Rams. The Crimson Hawks are riding a six-game winning streak against WCU and last lost to the Rams in 2015.
IUP has won six of its 10 home games against West Chester.
MILLERSVILLE AT A GLANCE
Millersville enters the week with a 4-5 record and matchups against Pitt-Johnstown and IUP. The Marauders currently sit sixth in the PSAC East and are 0-3 in conference play, though they dropped a
nine-point decision to No. 5 Gannon in their final game before the holiday break.
The Marauders are led by third-year head coach Kira Mowen, who owns a 33-35 record at Millersville. Mowen is in her fifth season as a head coach overall after spending two seasons at Division III Knox College, where she compiled a 34-19 mark.

The two teams have met 32 times in the series history, with IUP winning 22 of the meetings, including 11 in Indiana. The Crimson Hawks are on a four-game winning streak against the Marauders, with their last loss coming in a three-overtime game in 2017. IUP has won six of the last seven meetings since 2016.
