YORK, Pa. — The Indiana University of Pennsylvania swimming teams head into this week's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championships looking to cap a strong regular season with podium finishes, NCAA qualifying marks and potential school records.
Conference rankings show six Crimson Hawks seeded in the top three across 10 events, positioning IUP as a contender for multiple individual and relay titles.
Leading the women's squad is Tina Cudina, ranked No. 1 in the 100-yard breaststroke and No. 3 in the 50-yard freestyle. Teammate Kasha Stokes enters as the top seed in the 100-yard backstroke and also leads the rankings in the 200-yard backstroke.
Butterfly and individual medley standout Gem Crittenden is also expected to factor heavily in team scoring, entering the meet ranked No. 1 in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly as well as the 400-yard individual medley.
Relay depth could be critical for the Crimson Hawks, particularly in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay and the 200- and 400-yard medley relays, where competitive seed times place IUP firmly in title contention.
On the men's side, IUP will look for strong performances from veterans Stephen Goff, Alexander Roth and Tyler Uhlig as the team targets NCAA "B" qualifying standards and potential school-record swims. Goff scored 27 individual points at the 2025 championships, while Roth and Uhlig contributed 54 and 61 points, respectively.
Patrik Kudla, who missed last season due to injury, returns ranked to score, while additional scoring depth is expected from Nicholas Vaow, Trent Powell and Brody Davies.
IUP is seeking its first PSAC team championship since the women captured the conference crown during the 2020-21 season. Strong individual swims, relay consistency and qualifying performances for the NCAA Swimming Championships will be key as the Crimson Hawks pursue another conference title.
