INDIANA, Pa. — With the regular season entering its final week, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania basketball programs have plenty at stake as both Crimson Hawk teams position themselves for strong postseason runs.
The women's team can clinch the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division title with a victory over California University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the men's team is aiming to secure a first-round bye in the PSAC Tournament and can lock up that position with two wins this week.
Both programs also continue to receive national recognition. The IUP women enter the week ranked No. 5 in the national poll with a 23-1 record, while the men reentered the top 25 for the second time this season, checking in at No. 24. IUP is one of just five institutions nationally with both its men's and women's teams ranked.
The Crimson Hawks travel to California, Pennsylvania on Wednesday before returning home for Senior Day on Saturday at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
