Box Score 2 SALEM, Va. – The IUP Crimson Hawks wrapped up a 3-1 weekend by splitting its Sunday games against Winston-Salem State Rams and West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats.
The Crimson Hawks opened the day with a 6-2 win over Winston-Salem State behind another strong performance from senior Jaycee Haidze, who hit her second home run of the season.
Taylor Bumgardner earned the victory in the circle, her second win of the weekend.
In the second game, IUP dropped a close 3-2 contest to West Virginia Wesleyan.
The Crimson Hawks will return to action Wednesday on the road against West Liberty Hilltoppers before hosting Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats in their home opener Friday.
