INDIANA, Pa. — The Indiana (Pa.) men's basketball team is headed back to the NCAA Tournament and will play in a familiar setting for the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament Atlantic Regional.
The Crimson Hawks earned the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 seed Fairmont State Fighting Falcons on March 14 inside the Highmark Events Center.
Three teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualified for the NCAA Tournament, including No. 1 seed and host Gannon Golden Knights. The Crimson Hawks are on the opposite side of the bracket from both Gannon and California Vulcans, meaning a potential meeting with either PSAC opponent would not come until the regional championship.
IUP is led by Dallis Dillard, the PSAC West Athlete of the Year, who averages 20.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. The Crimson Hawks also feature two additional All-Conference selections in Christian Moore and Kymani Merraro.
IUP enters the tournament with a 22-7 overall record, including a solid 9-4 mark away from the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
