Big week nets IUP three PSAC honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Three IUP student-athletes earned PSAC weekly honors after standout performances across softball and women's tennis.

IUP softball swept the PSAC West awards, while Charliz Tabili earned her first women's tennis athlete of the week honor.

Reagan Rand played all six games for IUP, going 8-for-18 with seven extra-base hits. She recorded three doubles, three home runs and a triple while driving in 13 runs.

In the circle, freshman Taylor Bumgardner earned her second pitcher of the week award. She threw two five-inning shutouts against PSAC opponents, allowing five hits and walking three batters — all intentional.

In tennis, Tabili delivered in key moments, clinching multiple matches. She secured the deciding point in IUP's 4-3 win over Slippery Rock last week.
