IUP Competes at Weather-Shortened Dave Labor Invitational

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The IUP Crimson Hawks track and field teams competed at the Dave Labor Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock University, in a two-day event that began Friday.

IUP saw multiple strong performances on the opening day, highlighted by Madison Hartner, who placed sixth in her section of the women's 1500-meter run with a time of 5:11.74. On the men's side, Owen Sparks finished third in his section of the 1500-meter run.

In the field events, juniors Louis Losoya and Quintin Robinson each cleared 4.03 meters in the men's pole vault, finishing 16th and 18th, respectively.

The meet was shortened due to weather on Friday and is scheduled to resume Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with the 10,000-meter run.
