Sophomore football player Chris Temple was named an IUP Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Oct. 4. Temple had a big weekend, rushing for 234 yards and breaking the school single game touchdown record with six in the Crimson Hawks' 42-21 win Homecoming win over Edinboro. The running back's rushing output set a new career-high – as did his 28 carries – while the touchdown mark also tied the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record.
 
Temple was also named the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance. It's his second IUP Athlete of the Week honor this season. He leads the conference and ranks seventh in Division II with 146.7 yards per game this season.
