Senior men's basketball guard Brandon Norfleet was named an IUP Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 29. Norfleet led the men's team to a 2-0 weekend, averaging a team-best 20.5 points in wins over the University of the Sciences and American International. He shot a sizzling 57.7 percent (15-of-26) from the field and went a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line while also averaging 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
Norfleet's big game came in Saturday's win over American International, scoring a career-high 26 points while matching a season-high six rebounds and six assists. He went 10-of-17 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line, adding two steals.
He scored 15 points in just 14 minutes against The Sciences, going 5-of-9 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line.
Norfleet leads IUP with 19.3 points per game, 27 assists and 12 steals on the year.
