Freshman running back Samir Bullock was named an IUP Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on Sunday, October 2. 

This is Bullock's second straight IUP weekly honor, earning it after rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns - both season-highs - in Saturday night's 47-39 comeback win over Seton Hill. 

Two of Bullock's scores came in the first half to help give IUP an early 21-10 lead over the Griffins. He then played a key role down the stretch, converting key third downs and scoring a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to help IUP take a 40-39 lead. He added 127 yards on six kickoff returns to finish with a season-high 289 all-purpose yards.
