Senior hurdler Lizzy Cunningham has been named an IUP Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the sports information office on Tuesday, May 30. 

Cunningham wrapped up successful individual season with All-American honors this past weekend at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Bradenton, Florida.

Cunningham finished fourth overall in the 400 meter hurdles on Saturday night, sprinting to a personal best time of 59.27. It's the first All-American honor of her career.
 
The senior qualified for the finals with a time of 59.34 – then a new personal best – during Thursday's qualifying heats. That time was good for sixth place overall, as the top eight moved on to the finals.

This is her second IUP Athlete of the Week honor this year.
