Beatriz Gonzalez had a successful college debut as she was named an IUP Athlete of the Week. A freshman, Gonzalez helped the Crimson Hawks dominate in the pool as they competed in the Spire Open against Gannon and Edinboro on Saturday. She took home first place honors in the 500 and 1000 yard freestyle races, while also hitting an NCAA B cut time in the latter with a time of 10:31.37.
