IUP senior Brianna Liebold has been selected the NCAA Atlantic Region Field Indoor Field Athlete of the Year after winning a pair of events at the PSAC indoor meet and earning All-America honors in the long jump at the NCAA championships.
Liebold won the long jump and triple jump at the conference meet last month and was named the Field Athlete of the Meet for the second straight year as well as the PSAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.
On the opening day of the NCAA meet on Friday, Liebold finished sixth in the long jump to gain All-America status for the second time in her career. She also competed in the triple jump on Saturday and finished 10th with a jump of 38 feet, 4 ¾ inches, just two inches shy of Darcie Schmitz of Fort Hays State for eighth place and another spot on the All-America team.
