Six different Crimson Hawk players scored multiple goals as the IUP lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season with a 16-6 decision over visiting Holy Family Sunday at Miller Stadium.
Stephanie Bianco (King of Prussia/Upper Merion) led the charge with five shots that resulted in two goals and lifted the Hawks to a 10-0 halftime lead.
The Tigers got back into the game scoring early in the second half but they never got closer than eight.
Colleen Berlin (Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame),
Becca Vogt (Hamburg, NY/Frontier), Alex Lodovici,
Amy Rydeen (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and
Alex Edwards (Bethlehem/Nazareth) joined Bianco with two goals apiece.
The Crimson Hawks also picked up goals from
Jessica Beck (Baltimore, MD/Western Tech),
Morgan Molnar (Frederick, Md./St. Johns Catholic Prep) and
Lillienne Kane (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley).
The Crimson Hawks return to action when they open conference play against Shippensburg at Miller Stadium Tuesday at 4:00.
