INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's lacrosse team earned national recognition for its success in the classroom as 11 Crimson Hawks were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Honor Roll.

IUP was one of 65 Division II institutions represented on the honor roll, with its 11 selections accounting for part of the 568 student-athletes recognized nationwide.

To be eligible for the IWLCA Honor Roll, student-athletes must be juniors or seniors and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50.

The Crimson Hawks recognized were junior Keira Baskot (Education), junior Sam Clerkin (Exercise Science), senior Mia Courtalis (Biology/Pre-Med), senior Alexi Crosby (Natural Science/Pre-Physical Therapy), graduate student Alli Hunter (Information Technology/Management Information Systems), senior Rachel Knight (Natural Science/Pre-Physical Therapy), junior Mia Martorano (Business), junior Mia Mitchell (Business Marketing), senior Leah Moyer (Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship), senior Devon Nee (Criminology) and junior Julia Steere (Marketing).

In addition to the individual honors, IUP was named an IWLCA Academic Squad after posting a team GPA of at least 3.20. The Crimson Hawks were one of 357 programs across all NCAA divisions to earn the distinction and one of seven Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams recognized.
