Becca Vogt Leads High Powered IUP Offense in PSAC Opener Over Shippensburg

The Crimson Hawks offense struck early  and often including four goals and six assists from Becca Vogt (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) in a 19-9 victory over Shippensburg Tuesday afternoon in the PSAC opener for both teams.

Alexa Lodovici (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) also notched four markers and also added an assist. Stephanie Bianco (King of Prussia/Upper Merion) tallied four goals in as many shots.

Corinne Miller (Hamburg, NY/Frontier), Beth Glasshagel (Coram, NY/Newfield) and Jessica Beck (Baltimore, MD/Western Tech) each notched two goals. Colleen Berlin (Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) rounded out the Crimson Hawk scoring with one goal.

Kaitlin Sterling (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley) picked up the win between the pipes making 16 stops and improving to 1-0 on the season.

Bennett Widlake paced the Lady Raiders with four goals of her own.

The Crimson Hawks return to action Saturday when the travel to Millersville for another PSAC match up.
