IUP netted seven goals in the first half then held off a late Millersville charge to earn an 11-10 victory at Millersville on Saturday to improve to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2007 season.
Becca Vogt (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) paced the Crimson Hawk offense scoring three times including the game winner late in the second half and also added two assists.
Stephanie Bianco (King of Prussia/Upper Merion) also tallied three goals for the Crimson Hawks.
Alexa Lodovici (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) chipped in a pair of goals and an assist.
Colleen Berlin (Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame),
Jessica Beck (Baltimore, MD/Western Tech) and Bethany Glasshagel each found the back of the net once for IUP.
Kaitlin Sterling (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley) improved to 2-0 on the season making seven saves in the game including one with less than two minutes to play to preserve the win.
Brooke Fisher and Kelsey Schmoltze each scored three times for the Marauders. Kathryn Kehring added two goals to pace the Millersville offense.
The Crimson Hawks continue conference play Friday when they travel to Bloomsburg.
