Day One Complete at PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Men's Decathlon | Women's Heptathlon

BLOOMSBURG, PA - IUP wrapped up day one at the 2012 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday as half of the men's decathlon and women's pentathlon were completed at Bloomsburg's Redman Stadium. 

Both Krista Matsko and Kendyl Paolini took to the track for the women's heptathlon for the Crimson Hawks, as Matsko stands ninth and Paolini 14th after four of the seven events. Matsko's 2274 points are highlighted by a first place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 26.42 and a second place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.87. 

In the men's decathlon, Yoann Godet stands 10th after five events with 3178 points. His best finish of the day came in the high jump with a height of 6-03.5 (1.92 meters), good for a tie for second place.

Day two continues on Friday with the 110 meter hurdles of the men's decathlon starting at 10:00 a.m. while the women's heptathlon goes at 10:30 a.m. with the long jump.
