AT A GLANCE
The 12th-ranked Crimson Hawks hit the road for their final regular season game of the 2013-14 season, facing off against heated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West rival Slippery Rock. IUP enters the game riding a two-game win streak, claiming dominant victories over Mercyhurst and Edinboro. With a record of 22-3, 12-3, the Crimson Hawks have clinched the second seed in the PSAC tournament and will receive a first round bye. Slippery Rock is also in the midst of a two-game win streak, with victories over Edinboro and Seton Hill. The Rock has also clinched a PSAC tournament berth and will host their first round game on Saturday.

THE SERIES
IUP holds the all-time series advantage with SRU, 99-74. The Crimson Hawks have won 12 of the last 13 contests, including three postseason victories and a win earlier this season. In the last meeting between these two teams at Morrow Field House, Slippery Rock edged out IUP 70-69.

LAST TIME OUT
In the last meeting between these heated rivals, Sr. G Mathis Keita (Thionville, France/Insep) sunk a contested layup with just 2.3 seconds remaining to give the Crimson Hawks the 66-64 victory over the Rock. That win was their 25th straight home victory over SRU. Three players finished in double figures, led by 20 points from Sr. F Marcel Souberbielle (Montevideo, Uruguay/Uruguayan American School). He added nine rebounds and went 4-of-7 from three ball range. Jr. G Devante Chance (Philadelphia, Pa. /Electrical & Technology Charter) added 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals. The team shot just 34.0
percent from the floor but capitalized on 23 SRU fouls, sinking 27-of-34 free throws.

WE GOT 99 PROBLEMS BUT THE ROCK AIN'T ONE
The Crimson Hawks are going for 100 against Slippery Rock, as they currently boast 99 wins against that team up north(west). IUP has dominated the Rock as of late with only one loss in the last 13. Last season, the two teams met four times, including two postseason matchups. IUP claimed three wins, including a PSAC championship game victory and a win in the NCAA Atlantic Semifinal. The rivalry has been one of the most heated for the two teams as of late, with the last matchup drawing more than 3,100 spectators, fourth all-time in Kovalchick Complex history.

PSAC TOURNAMENT BOUND
The defending PSAC champions have already clinched a sport in the conference tournament, which is slated to get underway March 1. IUP has advanced to the tournament in each of the last six years, winning three of the last four titles. Six of the Crimson Hawks' nine PSAC championships have come since 2000, claiming the title in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2011 and 2013. SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
The Rock is led by the PSAC West's third highest scorer in Sr. C Maruice Lewis-Briggs. The Morehead State transfer puts up 17.0 points per game, adding 7.4 rebounds and a field goal percentage of 50.6. Another big man highlights Slippery Rock's roster, as 6-8 Sr. F Tabari Perry is again having a solid year. He adds 11.2 points per game, 7.7 rebounds per game and shoot 51.2 percent from the floor. The Rock boasts the PSAC's top field goal percentage defense, allowing teams to convert on just 38.2 percent of shots.
