Men's Basketball Hosts Pitt-Johnstown on Senior Night

THE GAME AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks return home for the first time in 11 days when they host Pitt-Johnstown for Senior Night on Wednesday. Tipoff after the pregame senior recognition will come at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the Kovalchick Complex. IUP is looking to rebound after watching its 13-game win streak come to an end with a 73-61 loss at Slippery Rock last Saturday. Already clinching the PSAC West regular season title, the Crimson Hawks will be looking to keep up in the NCAA Atlantic Region rankings, which will see its debut on Wednesday afternoon. The Crimson Hawks are one of two teams in the PSAC with 19 wins on the season and have a league-best 16-4 record against conference teams. UPJ is coming off a 69-65 win at Mercyhurst after dropping back-to-back overtime games. The Mountain Cats are15-9 overall and is still fighting for a PSAC playoff berth with an 11-8 league record.

STORYLINES
• The Crimson Hawks have already sewn up the PSAC West, winning at least a share of the division for the sixth time in the last seven years; IUP will receive a first round bye in the PSAC tournament and will host a quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m.
• The Crimson Hawks won this year's earlier matchup 86-74 in Johnstown; Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) scored 31 points while Anthony Glover (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) had 20 and Daddy Ugbede (Gardena, Calif./Serra) added 18
• IUP HC Joe Lombardi is 6-2 in his career against UPJ; The six wins have all come sice 2013 when UPJ joined the league, with both losses coming during the 2006-07 season, Lombardi's first at IUP
• IUP's recent 13-game win streak was its longest since winning 14 straight to start the 2013-14 season
• The Crimson Hawks are 12-2 at home this year, including a 10-game win streak that dates back to their 72-64 victory over The Sciences on Nov. 27
• IUP is 12-2 against PSAC West opponents this year, including a 12-game divisional win-streak that ended on Saturday at Slippery Rock
• UPJ is better on the road than at home, owning an 11-3 record in games played away from Johnstown
• This game marks the 306th of Lombardi's IUP tenure, the third most of any coach in program history (Carl Davis and Peck McKnight, 323)
• IUP is third in the PSAC and 27th in the nation giving up 68.0 points per game; The Crimson Hawks have limited opponents to 70 or fewer points 16 times, including six of the last seven games
• The Crimson Hawks have also held 22 of their 25 opponents under their season scoring average
• UPJ is fourth in the conference in scoring average at 78.2 points per game; The Mountain Cats had scored at least 70 points in eight straight games before their 69-65 win at Mercyhurst
• UPJ is the top three-point shooting team in the conference, boasting a 39.5 percentage and 8.8 made threes per game; Nate Snodgrass is tops in the PSAC with a 47.3 percentage and A.J. Leahey is fourth at 42.6 percent
• IUP's game at 10th-ranked Fairmont State on Dec. 12 was the Crimson Hawks' first regular season game against a ranked opponent in recent history, as IUP's nationally-ranked opponents usually come in the postseason; IUP went 3-1 against ranked opponents in the NCAA tournament last year
• The Crimson Hawks have played eight games against 2015 NCAA tournament teams and have a 6-3 record in those games, with wins over University of the Sciences, American International, Gannon twice, Slippery Rock, and Mercyhurst; The losses have come at Slippery Rock, Mercyhurst and Fairmont State 

BRANDON NORFLEET AMONG BEST PLAYERS IN THE ATLANTIC REGION
Sr. G Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) is IUP's top scoring threat and statistically all-around best player. He leads IUP in scoring, field goals made, free throws made, three-point percentage, free throw percentage, assists, and minutes played. He's also second three-pointers made, total rebounds and steals. 
• Norfleet scored a career-high 38 points against Seton Hill (Jan. 20); It's the second most in the PSAC this season
• He has 17 20-point games, including three 30-point performances; Norfleet had a streak of seven straight 20-point games earlier this season
• Norfleet is averaging 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the month of February
• He averaged 25.0 points, shot 50.0 perfect from the floor and 57.6 percent from three-point range during the month of January
• He has won the PSAC West Athlete of the Week award twice (Jan. 11 & Feb. 1)
• Norfleet has scored 1,573 career points and has 79 double-digit scoring games; He has 1,220 points in 84 games at IUP (14.5/game)
• He's the only player in the Atlantic Region with at least 500 points, 100 rebounds and 100 assists
• Norfleet tied a career-high with nine assists vs. Cal (Dec. 16) and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds at Shippensburg (Dec. 4)
• Norfleet is No. 1 in the PSAC and ranks No. 17 in the country in total points (557)
• Norfleet is No. 1 in the PSAC and No. 22 in the country in points per game (22.3)
• Norfleet is No. 1 the PSAC and ranks No. 10 in the country in field goals made (204)
• Norfleet is No. 10 in the PSAC in field goal percentage (.466)
• Norfleet is No. 7 in the PSAC in free throws made (103)
• Norfleet is No. 16 in the PSAC in free throw percentage (.786)
• Norfleet is No. 3 in the PSAC in assists (107)
• Norfleet is tied for No. 5 in the PSAC in assists per game (4.3)
• Norfleet is No. 1 in the PSAC and No. 15 in the country in total minutes played (912)

ANTHONY GLOVER HAS BEEN AN ADDED SCORING THREAT
So. G Anthony Glover (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) has been a welcome addition in his first year after transferring from Chicago State.
• Glover is third on the team with 10.4 points per game
• Glover has reached double-figures in scoring 13 times, including four 20-point performances
• Glover scored a career-high 23 points vs. Edinboro (Feb. 6)
• He made a career-high six three-pointers at UPJ (Jan. 13)
• Glover ranks fifth in the PSAC with a 41.8 three-point field percentage and is seventh with 51 made three-pointers

CRIMSON HAWKS FEATURE TOP TWO FRESHMEN IN PSAC WEST
Fr. F Jacobo Diaz (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain/CBA Gran Canaria) and Fr. G Dante Lombardi (Indiana, Pa./The Kiski School) have won a combined seven of the 13 PSAC West Freshman of the Week awards.
• Diaz leads IUP with 6.4 rebounds per game and is fifth with 8.0 points per game
• Lombardi is fourth on the team with 8.7 points per game and second with 74 assists

BRANDON SPAIN FINDING HIS NICHE
Jr. G Brandon Spain (Baltimore, Md./Glen Burnie) has stepped up his game since being reinserted into the starting lineup against Slippery Rock (Jan. 9). In 10 starts since, he's averaging 8.3 points and is shooting 52.3 percent (34-of-65) from the floor.
• Hit the game-winner in IUP's 68-66 win over Mercyhurst (Feb. 3)
• Spain is third in the PSAC with 47 steals, including a season-high five steals against Cal (Jan. 27) and Gannon (Jan. 30)
• Scored season-high 15 points against Slippery Rock (Jan. 9)

DADDY UGBEDE AGAIN PERFORMING CONSISTENTLY
Sr. F Daddy Ugbede (Gardena, Calif./Serra) is second on the team with 12.2 points per game despite playing in just 19.6 minutes per contest. His 71.4 field goal percentage would rank first in the PSAC and second in the country if he had enough made field goals to qualify. 
• He's averaging 14.9 points and shooting 79.3 percent (50-of-63) from the field in his last eight games
• Ugbede had a season-high 22 points vs. Slippery Rock (Jan. 9)
• He's reached double-figures in scoring in 17 of his 23 games
• He's made 50 percent of his shots in 21 of 23 games
