SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A total of four Crimson Hawks had PSAC qualifying marks as the IUP men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Penn Relays and at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday.
Jeremy Claypoole (Bellwood, Pa. /Bellwood-Antis) was in Philadelphia at the 122nd Penn Relays, leaping a season-best 14.30 meters (46-11) in the triple jump at Franklin Field

Caleb Cordell (Erie, Pa. /McDowell) ran a career-best 9:42.83 in the 3000 meter steeple, finishing second overall at the meet. Also hitting Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks were
Stephanie Heming (New Florence, Pa./Ligonier Valley) in the 1500 meters and
Elizabeth Coppella (Bradford, Pa. /Bradford) in the pole vault, at 4:59.64 and 3.26 meters, respectively.
Saturday ended three straight days of IUP track & field action, as several athletes competed at the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday.
The Crimson Hawks have just one last meet before the PSAC Championships, with the SRU Last Chance Qualifier scheduled for Friday, May 6 at Slippery Rock.
