THE GAME AT GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks prepare to host Slippery Rock in the quarterfinal round of the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Lacrosse Championships this Tuesday. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at George P. Miller Stadium on the IUP campus. IUP earned the fourth seed in the conference tournament, tying for second in the standings with a 9-3 record but falling two spots in a three-way tie with West Chester and Mercyhurst. Slippery Rock is one spot back as the fifth seed.

STORYLINES / WHAT TO WATCH FOR
* IUP earned a first round home game as the fourth seed in the tournament; Seeds three and four host the first round (seeds six and five, respectively), while the top two seeds earn byes to the semifinals with No. 1 East Stoudsburg hosting the final four this weekend
* The Crimson Hawks are making the program's sixth straight PSAC tournament and will advance to their fourth semifinals with a win over Slippery Rock
* IUP defeated Slippery Rock 10-7 in the regular season meeting, a night game at Miller Stadium back on April 12; The Crimson Hawks took a 4-1 lead into halftime, with Ally Burrows (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) leading the way with three goals and Katie Martyn (Annapolis, Md./Archbishop Spalding) grabbing seven draw controls
* The Crimson Hawks have dominated the series, winning 14 of the 15 overall matchups dating back to 2007; IUP is 10-1 against The Rock under head coach Mindy Richmond, winning the last five by a combined score of 72-46
* This will be the first postseason meeting between these two schools
* Senior defender Hannah Bertolo (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) heads into this matchup with 58 ground balls this season, one away from tying Sarah DeMaio (2008) for the most in program single season history
